Pastor Gerrit Bruintjes

Rev. Gerrit Bruintjes has served as pastor of Bethel since his ordination in October 2014. Before entering the ministry, he worked as a data analyst in Public Health. Pastor Gerrit is devoted to regular preaching and teaching, instructing the youth in the faith, and offering compassionate pastoral care and counsel to those in need.

Foreign Mission

Missionary Richard Eikelboom

B.A., Grad. Dip Ed., M.Div. Foreign Mission in Papua New Guinea

Pastor Richard worked as a school teacher and served as Minister of the Word before he was called to teach at the Bible College of the Reformed Churches of PNG in 2024. Having negotiated the transition between ministry in the Canadian Reformed Churches and the Free Reformed Churches of Australia on several occasions, Pastor Richard is now embracing the new challenge of living and teaching in the mission field. He is passionately supported in this new ministry by his wife, Hendriette. Richard and Hendriette have three (married) children and twelve grandchildren who live back home in Western Australia.

Principal Mark Mulder

Principal of the Reformed Churches Bible College in Papua New Guinea

Before entering the mission field, Mark was involved in secondary education at the John Calvin Christian College, where he taught for 29 years. Mark obtained a degree in Agricultural Science, and it was after a discussion with Ps Richard that he entered the field of education. In 2016 the Toronto Mission Board approached Mark and convinced him that he should apply for the position as Principal at the Reformed Churches Bible College in PNG. Mark had no intentions of serving in PNG, mainly due to his wife’s hesitancy. (Mark and Liz visited PNG several times and on each occasion Liz would fall ill.) At a certain point in time, and with the Spirit at work, Liz suggested that perhaps they should go to PNG. The rest, as they say, is history. Though they miss their 2 children and 5 grandchildren, they are completely at peace with the LORD’s leading and feel privileged to be used by the LORD in building His church in PNG.
